 The doctoral programme is on the 3rd Bologna level. Therefore, the academic degree "Dr." can be used without an addition in Germany and entered in official documents in Austria.

The examination requirements (scientific publications, examinations, dissertation) are designed in such a way that the doctorate is possible via distance learning.

The cross-border study programme can be completed in German.

Although the programme is officially offered in English, you have the option to write your dissertation in your preferred language, including German.

The official duration of the doctoral program is 3 years. How quickly you finish depends primarily on your efforts, the speed and precision of your work, and the stage of development of your dissertation. Therefore, you have the legal option of completing your doctoral studies in a shorter period of time.

The academic degree of Doctor, abbreviated Dr., is awarded upon successful completion of the program.
